Elvis Presley, Guns, and the Turmoil of Modern America: An Artistic Perspective

Artist Kasia Frankowicz on her latest stencil artwork "All Shook up"

All Shook Up, Original 95x95cm, by Kasia Frankowicz

As an artist, I have always been inspired by the powerful, unapologetic style of Elvis Presley. His iconic jumpsuit and bejeweled American eagles represent the youthfulness and boldness that I have always associated with America. However, as the years have passed, the glamorous facade of this country has started to fade. Inequality, greed, and violence have dampened the appeal of the rich and famous, and it seems that the old tricks no longer work.

That's why I decided to create a piece of artwork that captures this sense of disillusionment. I used a black stencil of Elvis holding a machine gun, set against a white canvas. On top of the image, I graffitied the phrase "All Shook Up" in bright pink. This juxtaposition between the glamorous Elvis and the menacing gun creates a sense of double meaning. It's as if to say that America itself is "all shook up," torn between its glittering past and its troubled present.

As the years went on however, America didn’t look so good anymore. The facade slowly began to fade, with the curtains now drawn, and the glamorous bright lights have most certainly faded into darkness.

As I worked on this piece, I couldn't help but think about the role that art can play in protest and social critique. Art has always been a way for people to express their thoughts and feelings about the world around them, and this work is no exception. It's a way for me to speak out about the issues that matter most to me, and to challenge the status quo.

I am excited to offer a limited edition giclee print of this piece on my website, as well as the opportunity to purchase the original work. By purchasing this art, you are not only supporting my work as an artist, but also participating in the conversation about the state of modern America. This is a unique and powerful piece that is sure to spark conversation and inspire change. So don't miss out on the opportunity to own a piece of protest art that captures the essence of our times. Head to my website now to purchase the fine art giclee print or original piece as well as take a look at other works on offer.
